The Grosvenor has undergone a makeover, no longer is it just a hotel, now with the TGB Restaurant & Bar, Gaming lounge, 3 brilliant Conference Rooms and No.8 Wired Live, Timaru’s ultimate live entertainment venue The Grosvenor is the place to stay, dine and be entertained in a modern and stylish fashion that still evokes the past that this illustrious historic building has.
From the ornate ceilings in the Reception area to the extensive use of copper, natural wood and original exposed brick in the TGB all complimented by a mix of modern and period furniture.
Throughout the hotel you will find it embraces its rich ‘kiwi’ heritage in its design but it would not be totally unheard of to sit on or spot furniture designed by masters Frank Gehry and Philippe Stark and those familiar with the work of painter Mondrian will enjoy the tribute on the 1st Floor and then there is the numerous Banksy inspired murals just to help the hotel poke a little fun at itself.
A prime central location means it’s close to Timaru’s key tourist attractions, city centre, beaches, restaurants, bars and nightlife.
